San Diego Physician Joins WorkCare and LEI Medical Group
ANAHEIM, Calif. – Rajy S. Abulhosn, M.D., has joined WorkCare, Inc., as a consulting occupational physician and Medical Director of LEI Medical Group, San Diego, Calif.
WorkCare is a national occupational services company based in Anaheim, Calif. WorkCare’s Medical Group operates LEI Medial Group, San Diego’s premier provider of work-related medical exams, including Department of Transportation, Oil & Gas UK and Commercial Diver; travel medicine; and walk-in drug screening and TB testing.
Dr. Abulhosn brings experience with a diverse range of clients to WorkCare, ranging from educational institutions, engineering firms and health care organizations to law enforcement agencies, manufacturers, oil and gas producers and temporary staffing firms. He also provides destination counseling, vaccinations and medications to business and leisure travelers.
“I’m thrilled to be part of the WorkCare team,” Dr. Abulhosn said. “With the LEI clinic as our home base, I feel we are exceptionally well-positioned to serve the needs of employers throughout Southern California, as well as companies with offshore operations or facilities in Mexico.”
Dr. Abulhosn is available to serve as a consulting medical director and provide oversight for onsite clinical staff. In addition, he provides care guidance to employers and employees who use WorkCare’s telephonic injury triage service, Incident Intervention.
Dr. Abulhosn is a former physician partner in the Occupational Medicine Department at Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group in San Diego, where he was Medical Director of the Executive Health and Employee Wellness Program. His experience includes service as a district office medical consultant for the California State Compensation Insurance Fund and staff physician in family medicine at Mid-City Community Clinic in San Diego.
Dr. Abulhosn earned his Medical Doctorate at the University of Washington School of Medicine, Seattle, Wash., his home town. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in media and journalism. Dr. Abulhosn completed a family practice residency program at Sharp Grossmont Hospital. He is board-certified in family medicine, a certified member of the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners and a member of the International Society of Travel Medicine.
His personal interests include spending time with his family, travel, physical fitness/exercise and soccer, current events, media and journalism, and he is an avid University of Washington sports fan.
