STREAMLIGHT® LAUNCHES DUAL SWITCH STRION® MODELS

New Flashlight Models Each Feature Two Independent Switches

Eagleville, PA, October 5, 2016 – Streamlight® Inc., a leading provider of high-performance lighting and weapon light/laser sighting devices, introduced new models of its popular Strion® lights, with innovative Dual Switch (DS) technology, the Strion® DS, the Strion®  DS HL (High Lumen) and the Strion® DS HPL (High Performance, High Lumen).  Each of the rechargeable lights now offers two independent, easy-to-locate switches for added user flexibility.

The ultra-compact flashlights provide both a head-mounted, push-button switch and a second, multi-function push-button tactical tail switch for full-feature control, independent of the other switch.

“The ability to choose between two switch locations is a major benefit for everyone from first responders to industrial professionals and outdoor enthusiasts,” said Streamlight Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Michael F. Dineen. “It gives them the flexibility to use one light for virtually any need, whether for tactical operations, troubleshooting repairs under low light conditions or for lighting up an outdoor site under darkened conditions.”

Each light features the latest in C4® LED technology. The Strion DS delivers an optimal balance of a bright, far-reaching beam with ample peripheral light and long run times.  The HL model offers a wide, side-to-side beam which illuminates an entire area, while the Strion DS HPL delivers a blinding hotspot over long distances to provide maximum illumination on targets downrange.

All three models provide three microprocessor-controlled variable intensity modes and a strobe feature.  The Strion DS HL and DS HPL each deliver 700 lumens on high, while the Strion DS offers 375 lumens on the same setting. On high, the Strion DS HPL reaches over 420 meters, while both the Strion DS HL and Strion DS reach over 219 meters. Run times for the three lights range from one hour and 15 minutes on high to 20 hours on low. The strobe feature on all three lights has a run time of 2.5 hours.

The lights also feature a TEN-TAP® programmable switch that allows users to select from high/medium/low with strobe (the factory default); high only; or high/medium/low without strobe.

The Strion DS, Strion DS HL and Strion DS HPL are each powered by a lithium ion battery that is rechargeable up to 1,000 times. The battery fully recharges in three hours in the product; a charge base LED indicator remains steady when charging and blinks when fully charged.

EAGLEVILLE, PA, April 18, 2016 - Streamlight® Inc., a leading provider of high-performance lighting, has increased the lumen output of its high lumen Portable Scene Light to 5,300 lumens. The updated light also now features a red low battery warning indicator.

Featuring a narrow footprint and a telescoping extension pole, the Portable Scene Light  can be used almost anywhere by first responders and other professionals for scene lighting purposes, from wide, open places to tight, confined work areas.

“We have upgraded the Portable Scene Light from 3,600 to 5,300 lumens, to give users an even more extraordinary high lumen flood light,” Streamlight Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Michael F. STREAMLIGHT® INTRODUCES DUALIE® 3AA LIGHT

New Intrinsically Safe, Multi-Function Light Also Available in Laser Model

Eagleville, PA, September 23, 2015 – Streamlight® Inc., a leading provider of high-performance lighting, introduced the Dualie® 3AA, an intrinsically safe, multi-function flashlight. The company also launched a laser model of the same light, the Dualie® 3AALaser, the first intrinsically safe flashlight featuring a red laser pointer.

The Dualie 3AA features three output modes. Its LED spot beam provides   distance illumination, while its LED flood beam is designed for close-up work. The two beams also can be used together to create an uninterrupted light pattern that delivers 245 lumens, while optimizing navigation and eliminating blind spots. The laser model of the light provides a focused LED spot beam in combination with the laser pointer, also for separate or simultaneous use.  Both lights are safety rated for use in Class 1, Division 1 environments faced by many industrial workers.

The new lights feature separate dual head switches for easy, one-handed beam operation. The two beams on each light can be activated simultaneously by depressing both switches.

Each of the new lights also includes a rugged, non-protruding, snag-free clip that conforms to the light’s body, while easily grabbing onto shirts, pockets and other gear for hands-free use.

“The Dualie 3AA is like having two lights in one,” said Streamlight Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Michael F. Dineen.  “The light’s flexible options are perfect for helping industrial and other professionals avoid slips, trips and falls when conducting close-up inspections, illuminating wide areas, or when they need both capabilities simultaneously.  And the laser model of the light provides a bright spot beam, with the added convenience of a red laser pointer for illuminating and pinpointing objects at a distance.”

The Dualie 3AA uses two white C4® LEDs.  Its spot beam offers 140 lumens, 7,300 candela peak beam intensity, and a 171-meter beam distance; its soft, wide flood light features 140 lumens while delivering 80 candela, and an 18-meter beam distance.

The Dualie 3AA Laser uses a single C4 LED, and features 150 lumens, 7,700 candela, and a beam distance of 175 meters.  It also includes a 640-650 nanometer, Class 3R red laser that offers <5mW output power. Using the light’s two features at the same time enables technicians to illuminate work spaces, while also pinpointing out-of-reach objects such as overhead pipes or utilities.

Run times for the Dualie 3AA are 18 hours in both spot and flood mode, and 9 hours when the beams are combined.  For the Dualie Laser model, run times are 17 and 70 hours, respectively, for the white LED and laser modes, and 12 hours for the two beams combined.  Both lights are powered by either three “AA” size alkaline or lithium primary batteries.

Both of the new lights weigh 6.8 oz. with AA alkaline batteries (5.9 oz. with AA lithium batteries) and measure 7.00 inches in length.  They both feature a durable, non-conductive, corrosion-proof polymer resin casing and a rocky stipple texture for a sure grip.

IPX7 rated for water-proof operation to one meter for 30 minutes, both lights also are impact-resistant tested to 2 meters. They are available in either high visibility yellow or black.

The Dualie 3AA and the Dualie 3AA Laser are available in several configurations, some of which include batteries.  They have MSRPs that range from $50 to $70 depending on the model.  All models come with Streamlight’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.

    STREAMLIGHT® INTRODUCES DIVISION 1 HAZ-LO® HEADLAMP MODELS

Newest Models of Argo®, Septor® and Trident® Feature Intrinsically Safe Ratings

EAGLEVILLE, PA, October 30, 2014 – Streamlight® Inc., a leading provider of high-performance lighting, introduced new Division 1 models for three of its signature headlamps, the Argo® HAZ-LO®, the Septor®  HAZ-LO®, and the Trident® HAZ-LO®.  The new headlights are intrinsically safe and are suitable for use in Class 1, Division 1 hazardous locations faced by many industrial professionals.

“Workers in a variety of industries rely on their lighting equipment to perform safely under trying and frequently dangerous conditions,” said Streamlight Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Michael F. Dineen.  “These Division 1 HAZ-LO models of the Argo, Septor, and Trident headlamps have earned the highest safety designations for working in environments with potentially ignitable materials.  At the same time, like their ‘traditional’ counterparts, each headlamp also offers a unique balance of features, depending on how the light will be used, such as for long-range distance lighting, close-up work or for a broad range of intrinsically safe uses.”

The new Argo HAZ-LO headlamp, for example, features a white C4® LED with two output modes: High for maximum output with a long-range beam distance and eight hours of run time; and Low for extended run time (50 hours) and a less intense beam.  The Argo is designed for tasks that require bright white light with a far-reaching beam, such as checking utility lines from the ground or for lighting an outdoor path.

The Septor HAZ-LO headlamp is ideal for detail work or for working at arm’s length. It uses seven 5mm Ultra Bright White LEDs to offer two operating modes:  High with a run time of eight hours, and Low with a run time of 50 hours.

The multi-purpose Trident HAZ-LO headlamp offers the broadest range of lighting applications, meeting lighting needs for both close-up and distance work.  It features two lighting modes: On High, it uses a white C4 LED for bright light and strong beam distance and eight hours of run time; on Low, it uses three 5mm Ultra Bright White LEDs with an extended 24-hour run time.

Each HAZ-LO headlamp also offers a robust ratchet system for the 90-degree tilting head; tough thermoplastic construction with elastomer over mold; and a push-button switch that is easy to use even when wearing gloves, and recessed to protect it from being turned on accidentally.

The Argo HAZ-LO weighs only 5.4 ounces, while the Septor HAZ-LO and Trident HAZ-LO both weigh 5.5 ounces. All three headlamps are IPX4 rated for water resistance and impact-resistance tested to 2 meters, and run on three “AAA” size alkaline batteries.  For extended run times or for operating in extreme temperatures, the lights also can operate on AAA lithium batteries. Each includes an adjustable rubber and elastic head strap and comes with Streamlight’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.

The MSRPs for the Argo HAZ-LO and Septor HAZ-LO are $54.00 each.  The MSRP for the Trident HAZ-LO is $55.62.

  • Streamlight® Inc., a leading provider of high-performance lighting, introduced new Division 1 models for three of its signature headlamps, the Argo® HAZ-LO®, the Septor®  HAZ-LO®, and the Trident® HAZ-LO®.
