Technical Tours
Technical Tours provide an opportunity to visit and experience first-hand the safety initiatives of some of Orlando's most famous attractions. Technical Tours are only available to registrants of the NSC 2009 Congress & Expo and each require a nominal registration fee. Early registration is recommended as tours are capacity controlled and historically sell out very quickly. Registration for Technical Tours will open on Monday, May 4, 2009.

Learn from the Food Safety Team how they maintain over 500 food locations at the Walt Disney World® Resort. Your backstage tour of Disney's Contemporary Resort will include the Catering facility which has a capacity to handle over 3,000 Guests. You'll also learn about Disney's approach to kitchen design and overall restaurant safety. Register early as the tour will be limited to 90 participants!

During the tour, you'll go behind the scenes at the Lights, Motors, Action!™ Extreme Stunt Show at Disney's Hollywood Studios where you will explore traditional safety elements including fall protection, confined spaces, and fire protection. The highlight of this tour includes entertainment safety as it relates to precision driving, high stunt falls, weapons and explosives...and even setting someone on fire! Learn how we apply safety by design techniques to create this high-powered show. After the backstage tour, you will have a chance to view the final product. Register early as the tour will be limited to 90 participants!

How close is too close? This one-of-a-kind tour offers you a crash course in the safety techniques incorporated at Gatorland to keep our guests and employees safety while working with and around a wide variety of native Florida wildlife. We will explore a variety of obstacles including handling a medical emergency, preparing for inclement weather and unexpected issues resulting from a day in the good ol' Florida sun; all techniques that can be built into your business model right now. Plus, what would a visit ot Gatorland be without a few alligators, crocodiles, birds and so much more! Register early as the tour will be limited to 24 participants!
