John Czerniak has twenty-five years of practical work experiences in safety, health and environmental management. He has successfully established comprehensive safety management systems that use the talents of the staff and hourly employees to promote workplaces in which safety is viewed as a sign of organizational excellence as well as developing environmentally sound policies in a cost-effective manner. John also has been successful in guiding senior plant management and employee leadership teams in active development of site-specific safety management systems that significantly reduced employee injuries. As Senior Consultant at the National Safety Council, John provides field consulting and training services as well as serving as project manager and client contact for consulting and training. John maintains his current knowledge of technology by monitoring significant trends and provides subject matter expertise to Council members and clients. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. in Operations Management from Loyola University. John is a Certified Safety professional through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals and a Safety Engineer through the American Society of Safety Engineers.
