JoAnn Dankert is a safety professional with more than 20 years of diversified experience covering the industries of Pharmaceutical, Food, Chemical and Electronics. With responsibilities that have spanned the safety, health and environmental fields, JoAnn functioned as a results-oriented manager who has designed and implemented cost effective solutions to the regulatory challenges business and industry face on a daily basis. Her background in ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and ISO 18000 standards has positioned her to help businesses integrate safety, health and environmental practices into their operations. JoAnn has successfully established comprehensive safety, health and environmental programs by partnering with operation staffs and hourly employees to promote incident prevention and environmentally sound practices; she has managed workers’ compensation programs; worked with health care professionals to develop modified duty programs; and assisted companies in going self-insured for workers’ compensation. In response to ever changing safety and environmental regulations, JoAnn has developed, implemented and audited process safety management programs and risk management plans in the food and chemical industries. She has served on a number of community advisory panels to strengthen the bond of understanding between industry and the public sector and has hands on experience in providing ergonomic assessments, training, program development and plan implementation to the shop floor. JoAnn holds a B.S.E. in Broadfield Occupational Safety from the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater and an M.A. in Training and Development from Roosevelt University. JoAnn is affiliated with the American Industrial Hygiene Association, the American Society of Safety Engineers, the American Society for Training & Development and the National Fire Protection Association. She is an ISO 14000 Lead Auditor and an ISO 9000 Internal Auditor.
